I am having Crucial ship the kit to Tony [ Deton ] for review, so once the kit arrives he should be able to clarify it it's the same kit

Also just received the G.Skill 2666MHz kit, which will be going to either Tony, or Kenny, and Kingston is sending me their new 64GB 2133MHz HyperX Beast kit along with a couple of SSD's to use in one of the projects I'm working on

I really like the low profile. I'm using a NZXT Havik-140 cooler on one of my systems and it doesn't get along with tall RAM at all.

They would be the perfect kit for people using huge air coolers, no more fans vs modules problems.

That's what I was thinking. CPU Cooler clearance problems with RAM is a PITA at best.

I just got two sticks of this, 8GB each.
Got one for free and bought the other.
    Have not used them yet.

Their height is such that any clearance issues with any CPU cooler is history. They are 3/4" tall ~*BEFORE*~ you plug them into your memory slots.
    Very Cool,............

I've used 2 of these kits in a build for a friend of mine. The Crucial Ballistix, I have to say for the price and the timings of 9-9-9-24, they are hard to beat. He absolutely loves his system. Been thinking about picking up another 2 kits for my new AMD rig I am building.

Zach, Don't use these on AMD builds.. the voltage is too low and you will get boot post issues.. AMD requires at least 1.5volts.
If it boots, it will only run at about 1033 or 1200mhz speed. This has been a known issue with AMD platforms.. Just FYI. Make sure to get something that is 1.5volts to 1.65volts.

However, these will work great on Intel Platforums.. Intel recommends memory, less than 1.5volts.
I've seen this particular set of memory get OC'd like crazy on Intel boards, but nothing but bad on AMD boards.

Just read some of the reviews.

Dam I didn't even think about that, lol. Once I actually get the board and tear through the user manual, I am sure I will change my mind 10 times before I choose the ram that is ranked best with my board. Thanks for the info Kenny
