    Default is it worth it?

is it worth mixing 1 GB of DDR 400 with 512 of DDR 333? will the DDR 333 slow the other down so much that it will not make a diffrence with the added 512?
    What?

I think that the ddr400 will slow down to 333 aka PC 2700. As for if it's faster or not, maybe?, cant help too much there. Im sure someone with more knowledge can tell you for certain, but why not just upgrade to 1GB of DDR400

don't do it. capacity isn't a solution for lack of frequency. besides, you'll then have to run all your RAM at 333 which means the other stuff is being wasted.

are some games you play stuttering or anything like that? in that case it may be worth while, but if your just looking for more performance it won't help i'm afraid.
