    Default LED Back-lit?

Why should I get an LED back-lit monitor? What makes them better?

Plasma tv 100,000 hours life cycle
LCD tv 60,000 hours life cycle
LED tv 40,000 hours life cycle

Plasma tv's are known for some of the boards going bad in them but there a simple fix just pull the cables off and the board plugs into the other board in the back. This is the cause of the lines and multi colors across
the screen. LCD have a similar setup but its not know for them to break as often. LED would have a better life to service ratio since they will run cooler. LED is the same basic design as LCD but are more efficent.
The cost is high on LED but it will produce a true black color as LCD will not. If you want detail and resolution that is the best buy LCD or LED and stay away from plasma.

through personal experiences, I would take a LCD over a Plasma any time, I have a 55" Plasma HDTV as well as a 55" LCD, they were both bought at the same time and the Plasma is already screwing up.
Here's a chart that may help you, bur remember it also depends which company made them, and even then a TV rated at 95-100 can go bad within weeks to months.
