Default Hilarious that this monitor is still being sold by a store ...

Hilarious that this monitor is still being sold by a store. It seriously is still in stock and being sold by NCIX in their clearance section and look at the price they put on this as a clearance price. LOL

    lol Old POS!

I know know there are some applications where CRTS are needed because LCDs cant handle some outside interference as well as an old CRT. Manufacturing, certain lab settings ect. Also there is a huge need for CRTs in 3rd world countries. They buy all of the old discarded CRTs, Refurb them and sell them. There are no more people made! lol

Would I buy one? Hells to the no! hahaha

And this is exactly why they keep the price up there. They have a captive audience that has no other alternative other than very costly upgrades to other components. To the average user this looks ridiculous. To someone who needs a CRT or will have to spend thousands in upgrades, this looks like a bargain.

Same thing goes for CPUs in space programs. The Newer CPUs are not capable of handling the heat and other problems related to Exiting and entering the atmosphere. Older CPUs are made with ceramic and can hold up to low temps and high reentry heats better. NASA bought 1000s of old AMD and Intel CPUs just a few years ago because there was no other alternative available. Same with it comes to those robots in car plants, A lot of the robot systems run off old cpus since the commands are simple lines.

Damn I wish a had my old 24" Dell CRT and a tray of k6s!
