IDK about saving 200 bucks being better than sex, (surely not the way I do it) but I do know that I ~really~ love playing Toxikk at 3480 X 2160 resolution. It's Bad-Ass!!

What I do with Newegg is sign-in, search for what I want, put it into my cart, and take it all the way up to where I'm one click away from buying it. I leave it there for a day, and then remove it.

Repeat two or three times and stop. Within a week or so, they start to send me deals on that Item. I repeat the process one more time without buying and delete it again.

Soon, their best deal comes to my mailbox.

They analyse everything that you look at while you're signed in and try to get you to buy.

Hi Neil, I tried that for 2 weeks now at Newegg, the price never went below 499.00 and I have to pay tax, so I actually bought one of the Dell 4K , and yes you are correct at full 4K it only uses 30htz but at any lower res it uses 60htz, and there are a few above 1920X1080P that use 60htz and look great, no tearing at all and for 299.99 I can deal with great res, maybe not 4K but the monitor was over 200 less than any of the others. For he rig in my den I am getting the 28" Asus 4k that uses 144htz at 4K, its 549.00 @ B&H.
Now with the Mars 760 ROG card and the 290X Matrix Asus card both my rigs are almost done. I am getting the new RAM from a friend on Facebook, 32gigs of DDR4 for the X99 5960X build.

    "28" Asus 4k that uses 144htz at 4K"

That ~does~ sound like a bad-ass screen. It will need some serious GPU power to run it though.

So now have my two builds ready that are running, none on the 4K yet but new build will be awesome. The Mars 760 ROG went into the 4770K build, The 290X Matrix went into the 4960X build. and now the Asus 980GTX Matrix will go into he 5960X build, with the Asus 4K monitor, I was chatting with a friend and since I'm not a big gamer, I do a lot of rendering, the new build will be my main rig. The other two, while I will keep them updated will be alternates when I am stuck downstairs in my house, I cant walk that well and need help to maneuver the stairs, I' have a good build where ever I am in the house. How come I cant post links on this forum for pictures?

Default Re: New Video Cards, mean New Monitors

I've been very tempted to pick one of these up this past week.
LG 34UM95-P Black 34" Class 5ms GTG QHD UltraWide LED Backlight LCD Monitor IPS Panel 320 cd/m2 DFC 5,000,000:1(1000:1), Dual HDMI / Dual ThunderBolt ports - Newegg.com

There's a coupon code right now that takes $250 off the price which makes it $750.00.
Very good price for this size monitor and resolution.

Not 4K, but the 21:9 ratio is what I am liking at 1440p.
now, Imagine 3 of these working side by side.. Lolz.

I actually wanted something between 28 and 32 but not a widescreen, I have contacts in most of the sectors but not one in Monitors, the cool thing about the Asus above is tha the stand actually pulses red light and its not distractive at all, it looks really cool. LOL

Eh? You wanted a 4:3? I mean I see you got a widescreen, but you indicate you didn't actually want one. If I might ask, why?
