I think he meant super wide like the 34" LG I posted.
21:9 vs 16:9 has become a standard in most monitors today.

But that ASUS is super nice also, congrats on the purcahse. I have 2 Qnix 27" 1440p IPS, while it isn't 144hz, I have both if mine OC to 88hz stable at the moment.. But even with 780s in SLI, I can't get pass 100fps with the games I play on Ultra so the 88hz works for me...

I think in a year or so, 4K monitors will be the price of the 2K ones we have today. That said, I am not waiting, I don't even buy green bananas anymore, at my age if I don't do it now, I may never get the chance

Aha! I missed that. I've seen a monitor similar to that LG in MicroCenter, and I can't quite wrap my head around the aspect ratio. They just don't look "right" to me. I have 3 Asus 23.6" monitors (1920x1080) right now on my Home PC, and dual 24's (1920x1200) on my work PC's, and I actually find that I prefer my double monitor config to my triple. I can't even imagine what three of those LG's would look like. I'd probably have to sit 8' from them! LOL

I have to admit, that LG is pretty sexy, but I'd take 2 or 3 of Alan's Asus monitors over the LG I think just so I could fit them in the Condo...

Personally, I really like the 34" 21:9 ratio display. But I think its because I am already use to having 2x 27" 1440p side side and I hate the bezel in the middle when I am doing my photo rendering.

I also have 2 diff systems using 3x Dell U2410 which is 5760x1200. love this aspect, but again hate the bezel.
Since I have been gaming on 5760x1200 for a few years now, its hard to give it up....

but I would sell all 6 of my Dells to get 3 34" in portrait mode in a heart beat... that is if I had the cash. I would even settle with 3 27" 1440p in landscape. But I haven't been able to get the same 27" Qnix I have for a good deal.
