I'm 99% positive that they all do, I think it's the same as what nvidia and AMD do? I can't remember what it's called tho... I know I saw it in CCC you scale your games to 4k, I saw the difference between the HDMI and DVI ones, and made sure I got the DVI one, I see people OC'ing the DVI ones to 90-110hz which would be nice if I could get that, I can't wait to see what 1440p@90hz looks like

Yea, mine get close. I have both of mine at 88Hz right now, but when I go past 90Hz, I get ghosting so I backed off on it.
For the price, they are good monitors.

Alan, that ASUS screen is a beast, but also double the cost of what the Qnix are at.
But if I had the money, I would def. get some better screens.

I almost jumped on a Dell 34" 3440x1440 Curved today for around $750 direct from MS. But by the time I was ready to pull the trigger, MS store sold out. Was kinda bummed, but I am sure more deals will swing around again.

i ALMOST jumped on the 32" version of the Qnix for $400 but I couldn't find reviews on how well the overclock or on backlight bleed, that Asus I was watching on eBay but the bidding got up to I think $573 and that was just too much for me to spend on a monitor considering I don't do alot of stuff where the best monitor would really benifit me, I just needed something semi cheap and causal. All in all I think I got a really good deal

I'll just have to be happy with my 4K ACER B286HK that was 400 bucks.
It's limited to 60FPS at 4K resolutions, but it seems to be smooth as well.
Nothing choppy or weird going on, and I could ~afford~ it at the time.

Got my monitor in today! Sucks I couldn't check it out before work. But on quick inspection I noticed a small hole in the bottom right corner and sounds like something loose inside I'll deff have to check it out after work and get some pictures up! Also I knew the mount was not very good, but after getting it holy good god is that thing trash!

my next question is about calibrating this to get the best picture possible. I cant really justify dropping $100+ on a tool to do it for me. is there any good programs out there that would help?

Default Re: Think its time for a new monitor?

Heres the picture i promised! sorry for bad quality my old HTC has seen better days! i ended up getting this clocked to 100hz, anything higher and i was running into a weird purple flickering problem. after using it all day. I can safely say this was worth every penny over my old 1080p

also heres My 3d mark run just for something to look at! http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/6199792?
