    * 1. System Requirements *
    ************************************************** *************************

    Make sure that your system meets the following minimum requirements to run
    Kraken Control for Windows:

    # Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional or Ultimate with
    service pack 1; Windows 8, Pro or Enterprise; Windows 8.1, Pro
    or Enterprise (64-bit)

    # Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 Client (included in installer)

    # 70 MB of available hard disk space (Note: The installer creates
    temporary files during installation so the actual hard disk space
    required at that time is greater than the values listed.)

    # Internet connection may be required during installation.

    ************************************************** *************************
    * 2. Installation Instructions *
    ************************************************** *************************

    Kraken Control installation:
    1. Connect the USB cable to the computer.

    2. Cancel all attempts from Windows to connect the USB device.

    3. Open the setup.exe file and follow the installation instructions.

    ************************************************** *************************
    * 3. What's new *
    ************************************************** *************************

    # All files and folders are removed after uninstalling the
    software.

    ************************************************** *************************
    * 4. Reporting Core Temperatures *
    ************************************************** *************************

    Kraken Control has the ability to display CPU core temperatures on the
    dashboard, but requires that a small open source system daemon called Open
    Hardware Monitor (OHM) run in the background. OHM monitors temperature
    sensors and other hardware attributes -- and is automatically installed as
    part of the default Kraken Control installation. If this program is not
    present, CPU core temperatures will not be displayed.

    Note... if OHM was not installed, or if it was inadvertently removed, simply
    download the latest version from the internet, unpack the zip archive and
    run the 'OpenHardwareMonitor' application with Administrator rights. (Most
    hardware sensors are not accessible unless installed with administrator
    rights). Once OHM has been installed and run once, it is NOT necessary to
    relaunch the application. OHM is completely optional, but without it,
    CPU core temperatures will not be displayed.

    ************************************************** *************************
    * 6. Known Issues *
    ************************************************** *************************

    # The scheduled task for Open Hardware Monitor (OHM) may occasionally be
    lost causing OHM not to run on Windows startup.

    @ Run the Kraken Control installer in repair mode to reschedule the
    the OHM task.
    1. Open the Control Panel.
    2. Go to "Programs" and select "Programs and Features".
    3. Mark NZXT Kraken Control and chose "Repair".
    4. Follow the installation instructions.

    # The Kraken Control Graphical User Interface gets dispersed when running
    the display size at 125 %.

    @ Go Control Panel -> Appearance and Personalization -> Display and
    change the display size to either 100, 150 or 200 %.

    # OHM does not provide CPU temperatures to Windows Management Interface
    in Windows 8.1 which prevents Kraken Control from presenting the CPU
    temperatures.

    @ There is currently no solution to this issue. The issue will be fixed
    in a future release. A newer version of OHM may be available at
    Open Hardware Monitor - Core temp, fan speed and voltages in a free software gadget.

    To install the newest version of OHM. Download the new version from the
    Internet and overwrite the old files in the Kraken Control
    install folder.

    ************************************************** *************************
    * 7. FAQ *
    ************************************************** *************************

    Q: Why do my CPU temperatures not show up on the dashboard?

    A: 1) The CPU architecture might not be supported by the current version
    of OHM. A newer version of OHM may be available at
    Open Hardware Monitor - Core temp, fan speed and voltages in a free software gadget

    To install the newest version of OHM. Download the new version from the
    Internet and overwrite the old files in the Kraken Control
    install folder.

    2) The auto start procedure for OHM might have been blocked. Go to the
    Kraken Control install folder and double-click on
    OpenHardwareMonitor.exe. Inside OHM select Options, uncheck and check
    "Run On Windows Startup".

    3) The OHM has been removed (see 4. Reporting Core Temperatures)

    4) OHM has been closed. Go to the install folder and double-click on
    OpenHardwareMonitor.exe to restart the program.

    Q: Why does Kraken Control shows too many CPU temperatures?

    A: Multiple instances of OHM might be running at the same time. Close all
    instances except one to show the right amount of CPU temperatures.

    Q: Does Kraken Control support 32-bit version of Windows?

    A: Kraken Control should work on Windows 32-bit, but is not officially
    supported.
