    Default Homegroup printer sharing help

    Hi everyone,
Iv been trying recently to get a printer on my Dad's computer to allow me to print through my pc. Iv been trying endlessly to use the homegroup option but to no avail.
I have tried us both elaving the homegroup and restarting and even installing the printer before the group as when the homegroup page gives me the option to install printer, no matter how many times i click the button it doesn't work.
If anyone has had any dealings with setting this up or knows of a better more efficient way of setting up a printer share id be most grateful.
    Russ

Is the printer on a network or hooked directly up to your dad's pc?

Have you enabled sharing of the printer from his PC, this has to be done even if your apart of the home group.
