Default Should I go Windows 8?

As the title states, I am wondering whether or not it's worth it. I started out hating it, but now that a few of my friends are using it and I'm debating running it myself.

Its alright. Pretty sure MS is still selling the full retail version at 70/80 directly. OEM versions are overpriced right now. Since youre in Canada, Ill give you this link: Windows® 8 Pro | Microsoft Windows 8 | Ratings & Reviews | TheSource.ca

I got Pro 64, not because I really wanted it but because it was free. Follow this Activate Win8 via KMS [WORKING!] [14-NOV-2012] [UPDATED+SUPPORT][ProWMC Permanent Activation Added] - Windows 8 - 7pm Tech You have to first activate via KMS server (really easy, download the linked batch file and run as admin) then follow the instructions in update 8 to get Windows 8 Pro with Windows Media Center activated permanently. It does take awhile and you do have to use a fake key to install, I used NG4HW-VH26C-733KW-K6F98-J8CK4 it doesn't actually activate it, it just makes the installer happy so it will continue.

Haha, thanks Polo! So I have to pirate Win 8 to legitimately activate Win 8.

Its actually totally legit except the install activation code and while that will get the installer to continue it wont be activated when it finishes and you have to find a Windows 8 Pro iso somewhere.

Oh good, you should get pro the free hackery way, couldn't hurt, I never tried the preview but I don't mind it too much so maybe it has gotten better. The only real problem I have is the charms thing or what ever its called, although I have only been using it for a day so maybe I'll find something else.

I, first didn't like it when I was trying out the beta... but they are coming out with more updates everyday to make it better and the talk about them bringing back the start button is making it another + for me.
I did buy a few pro editions the other day for $54.99 + $25 credit rebate making it only $30 each, I may install it in one of my systems as a full time system to see how I like it.

When I installed the beta on my AMD system I ran into some driver conflicts, but I am hoping they fix it soon.
That is the only reason it will hold me back from using win 8 is the backwards compatibility of some programs and driver issues. I have mostly encounter drivers issues at this time.

I have been using Win 8 on a laptop for over a week now and starting to get use to it, but for the moment I will stick with seven
till they fix the driver issues and hopefully put back the start button.
I am having issues navigating around in it, and its taking me longer to do simple tasks as it is that different and loaded with so much bull$hit lol!

Personally, if you're building a new system and need a os anyway, sure go 8 if you're already thinking about it. If not, I don't think it's worth spending any extra money just to upgrade. I tried it out, liked it, and bought an oem version to go with my new system. Keeping 7 on my old pc though.
