    Default Networking

i could use some help with network scurity like firewall and AV apps. my friend is going to have his first net and asked me to take some apps to him.
for me its not really a prob because i have a router for a firewall a but i cant give this to someone obviously.
any suggestions for a good and easy to use(!) software FW? the guy isn't the every day hardcore pc use so it has to be easy to manage and not something like "omfg you tard just clicked the return button, this is a high risk!", so i guess ZoneAlarm is out of the question.
for an AV i was thinking of NOD32, i use it for a year now and love it. any other suggestions?
also i was thinking to change the browser to FireFox and Thunderbird for mail

think this would be a start, what ya all think
