    Default iTunes crashing

Since I built my new computer in October, I've been using the 64-bit version of iTunes (9.02). The problem is when I want to transfer any data (movies, songs, etc.) to my iPod Touch or ejecting through iTunes, it freezes up and it takes 5 minutes to finish. When I plug in my iPod, it takes 5 minutes to sync, but there's nothing different since it's been plugged in last!

The only solution I've found is that I unplug my iPod from the computer (not safely ejecting) and everything seems to perk up all of sudden.

What I've been reading is that iTunes does not have a pure version of iTunes for 64-bit users, it's a 32-bit program with 64-bit drivers. So would it be possible to go to the surely more reliable, 32-bit version of iTunes with Win 7 64-bit?

    Thanks in advance!

Quick update: I tried installing the 32-bit version of iTunes, and it highly recommends I install the 64-bit installer. Figuring I wouldn't want to take a risk, I guess I'll have to live with the freezing until I can find a solution, unless somebody has any ideas.

The install path for iTunes is in the x86 Program Files folder. But there are also some files in the x64 Program Files. I have tried reinstalling, to no avail.
