Default Command and Conquer 3...how EA dissappoints

I recently bought CnC 3 as i am a fan of the CnC range but EA have yet again let the players down....not by making a bad game though, as the game itself looks and plays great but with the support yet again.

I installed my copy played for like 5 minutes then updated to the 1.04 patch which is supposed to SOLVE alot of issues but it stops my game even loading! i cant even get past the splash screen, and its not only having this problem but what appears to be hundreds of people. Again EA tech support have let the fans down just like with generals. Some of the responses are quite funny in that there blaming peoples computers for the problem when mine, as with many others, are well above the minnimum spec.

well thats my rant over but it looks like im playing on my own for 6 months until these problems are ironed out.

But never the less it looks like such a good game. I was considering getting a copy but might hold of a bit. It looks like a really graphic demanding game, How's it run on your 7600GT? judging from a few screenshots it just looks amazing.

yeah same for me fluflo, max settings and runs very smoothly.when it works its an amazing game no doubt about it, its just EA seem to not really bother about helping people out once its released so long as there counting some green.same with generals they gave up on that after a few non-major patches.

well i wont fully rant now unless they cant be bothered to fix anything.haha

This is the big problem facing non console gaming. The broad range of different specs on pcs is a pain for the games develpopers.Weve been waiting for over 2 years now for the new Medal of Honour Airborne to come out on pc.In the meantime theyve been rolling the games out on console format. Think we often find ourselves dissapointed by a certain release in terms of service, grfx wise there are some great pc games but there always full of glitches which is very annoying.

I purchased Tiberium Wars the first day it came out. When I first started playing on my AthlonXP 2500+, 1gig ram, Radeon 9600XT, I realized it was time to upgrade. The game was slow to load and close and I had to keep the visual effects to a minimum. After upgrading to E6400, 2gig ram and XFX 8800GTS 320MB XXX, I can play flawlessly with all of the graphics maxxed out. In terms of the game, once you get used to it the gameplay is great. Graphics are awesome when your settings are maxxed out. Personally, I dont even play the single player missions, I just play multiplayer with my friends on Ventrilo. This game has a lasting appeal with the online multiplayer and I would recommend it to anyone who is into RTS and Command & Conquer.

erm... just want to make things clear.. you lot do know that the game is limited to run at 30fps max.. hence why many of you can play with your cards maxxed out.

IIRC, CustomPC did a game review of it.. not bad scoring 90% mind you.

This is what they said about the cap: (from the magazine)

To remove the 30fps cap, you can apparently use a utility called OS Big Editor 0.51, although i wasn't able to get my head around it in the time i had available. You'll find it at: www.ppmsite.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14294

Tried this editor.. but man, i need some guidance as i don't have a clue what to do once i'm on the editor

I should think so otherwise i wouldn't of thought the guys would develop an editor just for that particular game
