Wow this helped boost my fps from 48 to around 80. Seems to work awesome except I need help with one thing. Whenever I join a server it keeps showing all of my statistics over the game screen. I took a Screen shot so you can see what I mean. Does anyone know how to get rid of this??

Try Net_Graph 0 in console to get rid of it.

yes this worked great, thank you. Only other question is if there is a way to go back to default conifguraton without uninstalling / reinstalling the entire game. Thanks

The default options should have asterisks next to them in the drop-down menus.

Thanks, sry for all the questions these should hopefully be my last.

1.) I have a pretty bad graphics card NVIdiA Geforce 7300 Le on what is called a "plug and play monitor" (lol). But my monitor's screen refresh rate is 75 Hz and I heard somewhere that as a general rule u shouldnt use a higher fps than the Hz of your monitor to avoid damaging it. I guess my question is should I not run my fps any higher than 75 then?

2.) Only other question is in game when I plant sometimes the option to pull a wire pops up even though im on T side and am the one planting. DOes anyone know a command to remedy this?

    Thanks.

My FPS is 300-900 depending on map size.

If you want to return to default settings just delete the modified config. The game will recreate a new one automatically.
Never seen the option to pull wire. Sorry.

For some reason I can't get over 40 fps most of the time. My system is a little dated, but I don't see why it can't handle CS:S with a higher fps. My specs are below. Any help would be appreciated.

    P4 3.2GHz
    2GB ram
    NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 1GB

I tried this and I see that the details of the game and brightness are changed. I deleted the file but the configuration is still set into the game, how do I change it back to default? Will I have to re-install the game again?

I used this, and although it did work, well, it also removed all decals, blood, sprays, everything, as well as the custom skins and trails that are used in the server that I play on. I deleted the file from the folder and the most of it went back to normal, but the decals and other items are still missing, please, is there any possible way to undo this? Because I can't see any sprays or any of the custom things in the server, and I would very much like to. I ther is any way you could make a counter to this or please tell me how to fix this issue I'd be very grateful.

I would rather be stuck with just 67 fps then not be able to play the game like I normally do, so any help with this would be greatly appreciated
