Valve has just announced the launch date of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive: August 21. A collaboration with Defense Grid developers Hidden Path, Valve also mentioned that CS:GO will cost $15 “on all platforms.”

The beta for the game continues to expand. A May 22 CS:GO update increased player capacity from 5 vs 5 to 15 vs 15 and added all-important chickens to de_inferno.

ive never play countersrike before. im a modern warfare type of guy, as i see it looks like the total opposite.

Ive been a long time fan and player of CS 1.6 and CS:S,CS:S is my all time favorite with almost 1000 hours played. Counter Strike is NOTHING like COD, but with that said CS:GO is pure crap! With never playing the original counter strikes i think you might like it though, the shooting mechanics are closer to COD but still not Im not one to get excited over a game dropping but when i found out CS:GO was dropping i was like a fat kid in a candy store, but only to be utterly devastated at what they did to my beautiful game. The price being $15 you wont loose a lot if you dont like it!

that is true for $15. i would be pissed if i paid $50-$60 for it and it was crap.
