its seems to be one of the many issues with the game in both EU/US thats not the only issues with the game so far the reason Ive held off a couple weeks before buying the game to see if they hurry and patch it.

Tee, I haven't experienced any crashes, have you updated your GPUs drivers, did AMD even release new drivers for Far Cry 3 ?
This is one of the reasons I tried talking you into moving to a Nvidia GPU, AMD's drivers are not the greatest, and they do not
release new drivers as often as Nvidia

Hey Tee, I just did a little research for you, you should be ruining Catalyst 12.11 Beta 11 and 12.11 CAP2, even with a single GPU you still need to install CAP, without it you will not get the full performance from your GPU. If you would like me to send you a link to the article, let me know.

For those of you running Nvidia GPU's and want to play Far Cry 3, you need to download Forceware 310.70 WHQL Candidate driver.

yeah im updating drivers and cap now. ill let you know what happens. i got it running last night but in order to run it i had to lower my gpu overclock and it was running fine for a while. as i read more in their forums this problem wasnt limited to AMD. people with Nvidia was having the same problem.

I did some reading this morning on the issue, Seems to be happening all over with new and older drivers... Also the ones that seem to be reporting this problem are the one's running there GPU and CPU on OC settings. I haven't heard of allot of ppl running into problems that are running stock settings for GPU. Maybe something to do with the OC's??

I would give this a try, but I don't have the game..

Your welcome Sam, and I'm glad CAP2 install increased your score. Kenny. Tee, I'm running my GTX680s at stock clocks, which is more than likely why I'm not running into problems with Far Cry 3. I'm only running 2 680s in my X79 build and also my Z77 build. I needed extra cards for the Z77 and seeing as I sold my 590s I didn't have much choice. Once the VisionTek system is built, I'l try Far Cry 3 with two HD7970s, same goes with the Gigabyte build, which will have dual 670s. I should have the Sapphire build running this weekend. so I'll try the 3 / 7950s and see how Far Cry 3 runs with that setup.

I should have the Sapphire build running this weekend. so I'll try the 3 / 7950s and see how Far Cry 3 runs with that setup.
well i played it again (lowered the overclock on my 7950 to 1100/1450) for about 30min and no crashes. the game ran smooth so it seems this game dont like high overclocked video cards.

Perhaps your overclock wasn't as stable as you thought it was..

Yeah, It is a beautiful game, no crashes yet, played 4 hours. In the settings I set everything at max detail except Post FX is Off (I don't like blur effects), and MSAA is Off (FXAA gives better performance). I'm using Driver 310.64 beta, there working very good. Cool Game, now back to BattleField3
