    Default Steam big picture

I am looking for feed back from people who have actually used steam big picture to play games on their tv. Most importantly picture quality.

Never tried it, I have A 27: lcd WITH 2560 X 1440 Res and a 30" LCD with 2560 x 1600 Res which is good enough for me, however I do have 55" and a 65" HDTV's so maybe when I have some time I'll give it a try. How do you like using it ?

I have not used it yet, debating spending the $50.00 on the hdmi cable. It will be sent to my 42" LG plasma. If it works good I want to make a small pc for the TV like a prodigy. Guess I will just get the cable.
What is this that stands before me?
Figure in black which points at me
Turn around quick and start to run
Find out I'm the chosen one, oh nooo!

A friend of mine games exclusively on a 65" Plasma with an xbox controller for the pc. I built him a system a while back based around an i5 3570K and an overclocked EVGA GTX 670 FTW. He uses big picture all the time and loves it. I've played on his system a few times and picture quality is fantastic. Only thing I don't like is gaming with a controller simply because I suck at it. I'm an old school mouse/keyboard gamer.

I feel the same way about the controller to I hate using contrllers especially the PS3 controller. I love the xbox controller though it feels good in your hand for a controller, but still no substitute for a keyboard and mouse. I have all three major consoles and they never get used. The only one that gets any use is the PS3 for netflix and amazon streaming. I played Far Cry 3 on my PS3 for two months while I was waiting for EVGA to get me a working mobo, the couch was really comfy. Basically I am sick of sitting in an office chair at a desk. It would be nice when friends came over to be able to put a racing game on the big screen and pass a controller around.

I have seen wireless hdmi but not ready to jump on that bandwagon yet. I prefer a cable for that.
What is this that stands before me?
Figure in black which points at me
Turn around quick and start to run
Find out I'm the chosen one, oh nooo!

$50 for a HDMI cable is too much for a regular cable unless you are getting one that is 50+ feet.
I've been using monoprice.com for over 8 years for all my cables.
Plus they are local to me, I can drive in and pick up by will call.

They are OEM manufacture to ALLOT of HDMI cable resellers.

Check them out first, the pricing is much better then anyone I have been able to find.

Ive never used big picture, it looks cool though. I might drag my comp in the living room just to check it out. The only thing a controller is good for is racing games.
