Default PC Game Streaming Is Going to Be Huge

As Sony and Microsoft prepare to launch their next big game consoles, there’s something far more exciting on the horizon.

It’s the idea that if you already own a powerful gaming PC, you might not need a dedicated game console at all. Valve and Nvidia are both working on ways to deliver high-end gaming to any television, and to other screens around the house. Your gaming rig would handle all the intensive computing, then it would stream the video and audio to a less powerful device over your wireless router.

Yep all because of Twitch.tv. I use that site to stream my PC games whenever i can. But PS4 streaming isnt that great as far as quality and i doubt Xbox will be better. Still better off getting a capture card so you can have 720p or 1080p video quality. Not sure if in-home streaming will be big, but def over the internet where anyone in the world can watch you beat games will be good. Too bad it takes a high end CPU to help encode good quality streaming.

Twitch.tv has gotten way worse lately. All the new traffic and on their end they clearly haven't upgraded their hardware enough. Live feeds use to be perfect there for me and I actually had a worse internet connection then. Many others are complaining about how it has gotten too. I hope in the future there will be more serious competition to Twitch.tv cuz it is clear to me they are not serious right now about making things better for the viewer.

... and ever since there was all the talk about them and next gen consoles and preparing for them to be on their service that is when I started seeing poor performance :Z
I wish I could build pcs each and every single day for the rest of my life. PC FTW !
