    Default Eve Online???

What do you think of Eve Online? do you play? tried it dont like it? I play and enjoy it, but Im kinda taking a break from it cause of school and all. which is good, my chars can train and I can get better grades. I bounce around a bit cause Im rather newer to the game, been at it for like 5 years or more. but the game is like 10 years old so, I dont consider myself a veteran by any means. I mine, occasionally, I do some ratting and the run the anoms, I gank people in high sec, or try to at least, and yea do nothing really, I been in whs and loved that, lived in a c2 c3 c4 and a c5, with a now quite well known alliance. Ne way, just thought Id say hello and fly safe!

    Default Re: Eve Online???

I did not have a good experience with EVE. For any given hour, only about 10 to 15 minutes was spent actively doing something. The other 45 minutes was spent waiting to do something. So you could quite literally spend most of the time reading a book or magazine and not miss out on anything at all. This is in no way an exaggeration. You could even read a book during combat and pay minimal attention to what was happening. Incredibly boring.

But admittedly, that was back during its first year of release. It may have gotten better since then. But I have zero motivation to ever go back to try it again. At the time, it appeared to be designed for the most casual of game players.

[Just FYI, I have played dozens of MMOs over the years - EVE was by far the biggest disappointment]

That sux, sorry you didnt have a great experience with Eve. I on the other hand love it, and keep coming back for more. Eve is definitely a long haul type of game, no instant gratification it seems, in fact, the game seems to be intended to be as such. I just left a null sec corp and am getting back to a few months off time, while my characters train. I have four accounts and have trained 12 characters for various things. I have 4 miners, or 3 miners and one booster, three pve characters and two pvp. The rest do pi and or cyno alts for my capitals. I fly the nidhoggur for carrier and even have my own corp, rorqual, and other capital support. JF coming soon I hope, now that my miners just upgraded from the covetor to the hulk, with t2 crystals in the next two weeks. I think Ill be able to pull in almost 50 k ore m3 per cycle with the 4 miners... idk what it is up to with 3 and the rorqual/orca booster. I got a few tech 3 capable pilots as well. I cant help it, I love outer space stuff, when I came across Eve , I swear it was the best things since sliced bread. and still is... I really dont play any other games, maybe bf4 or gta5 when I get the chance, occasionally. Eve is just so much more challenging to me, intellectually that is. Especially when you run a corp with alts and are solo boxing your accounts. :P

If you ever come by to try again, look me up.
