I don't have much opinion on the raiding side of things but coming from the Pvp side, it's looking like blizzard is doing some things right for a change. I'm checking it out right now because once the 6.0 patch comes out, I'll start to get a feel for the upcoming changes before the expansion releases.

looks interesting and I am sure I would enjoy it. However I am not the one to buy a game then pay a subscription to play it. Suck it! lol If I did it would be for FF online or Phantasy Star Online.

Old time Burning Crusade arena fan here. If that comes back to some balanced glory, it would be worth it to me. Never could get into raiding.

I have pre-ordered this expansion for my son's step mom for her birthday. I want to give it a go myself but the last 4 mmorpgs I have tried I haven't played them enough to justify the purchase with the last thing I bought being WildStar and I only played it 1 day during the free 30 days. I was afraid to get addicted again and put myself through what I did to clear content in WOW which was raid too much because I was not a player that got things done the first time and was not a quick learner. Still with that said I also feel that raid leaders are slave drivers and still spend too much time per week expecting raid teams to be in the game to clear content. I look forward to one day seeing more healthy mmorpg communities but I think I will be dead before that happens.
I wish I could build pcs each and every single day for the rest of my life. PC FTW !

Warlords of Draenor Update! Holy party wipe, Batman!!!! The game is WAY more challenging now. I grouped up for the new dungeon and we wiped 3 or 4 times, for a 5 man dungeon! We were all geared too. Arena has been great. The balance is a little off in that the scaling is set for 100, so damage and mana regen is a tad high, but overall, the changes felt more balanced than I ever remember. Me and my friend cleaned up in arena and it was a first in a long time.
I haven't seen blizzard actually improve the game with a patch since Burning Crusade. This is now the second time they actually improved things rather than throwing them down further in the gutter. The CC changes are amazing too. Casters can actually cast now!!!
Granted this is Pre-patch, but overall, I'm really enjoying it. So take it all with a grain of salt, but this could be the MMO that was so fun back in the old days.

If i can recommend a fantastic MMORPG, with amazing classes and special races with benefits, try out Terra. Its absolutely free and is my favorite i've ever played besides Star Wars Galaxies, Its a very unique experience and my favorite part is taht the classes are very unique, one class in particular is either Sustained DPS or Evasive Tank, all depending on how you play it. Also a huge bonus is it allows game controllers!![]()

Im with you bro. I am not going to buy a game, then have to pay a subscription to play the game on top of the internet service required to play. F that. Make the game free or super cheap if you want to be subscription based.

I agree with you all that the cost is pretty bad. $50 for an expansion is ridiculous, especially with a monthly. Plus, Blizzard is the worst when it comes to sales. On the other hand the reason I'm ditching Ftp is League of Legends. Horrible matchmaking and horrible community. Free competitive play lets too many immature kids into the scene for whatever reason.
Also, I'm addicted to the arena system they have! (Blizzard)(My wallet)

I hate paying per month now as I am dirt poor but also when I went to buy the expansion yesterday after getting some birthday money from an aunt well I asked the store if it came with 30 days free and it didn't. Sorry but if Blizzard won't offer me 30 days free with an expansion I am not buying it. Funny thing is I would have found a way to be able to sub and they blew it by not giving the 30 days free. Oh well no expansion for me.

My wife and I have been WoW'ers for several years (started just before WoTLK released) and I definitely think WoD is a big improvement from the last couple of ExPacs. I'd actually taken a "vacation" from WoW both because I didn't have the time or money to justify a subscription for a few months. I used to play a LOT but it took up too much of my time so I cut back. Then once I stopped playing so much, then I played less and less to where it didn't seem worth paying for it. I must admit, though, that WoD actually makes me want to play more than ever. I've renewed my subscription and doubt I'll let it lapse again anytime soon. Now, I just wish there more hours in the day. lol

OMG. WoW ate my life. Seriously. Sargeras, Hunter StoneThumper. Once I got into raiding, Life=Over. I gave it up not long after hitting 80 because it was eating my life...stopped for a few months, tried to casual play Pandaria, and it started eating my life again. Still have an account, but the Kids play it casually, and while I have it on the PC, I haven't played an hour in total in 2 years. I feel like an AA'er describing how alcohol destroyed his life!
What I discovered, is that to be any good at PVE Raiding, you had to devote far too many hours to gearing and skilling up. But once you had begun Raiding, the casual PVE elements of the game were no longer of interest. (Sort of like hardcore PVP'ers). I miss Raiding with all my Guild friends, but I'll never let a game eat up that many hours in my life again....nope.
Now, Star Citizen might just make me install Win10, and THAT might eat my life...LOL
