    Default CS:S Performance Help

Hi, just registered to the forums and was just wondering if anyone would be able to help me out by letting me know what i can do to improve how well CS:S runs on my computer. (Without upgrading any parts)

    Computer specs are as follows:

OS: Microsoft Windows XP Pro. (5.1, Build 2600)
    Processor: AMD Athlon(TM) XP 2800+, MMX, 3DNow, ~1.7GHz
    Memory: 512 RAM
    DiretX Cersion: DirectX 9.0c

    Video Card specs:

Chip Type: Radeon 9250/9200 Series AGP
    Approx Total Memory: 128.0 MB

Incase this is of any importance:

    Monitor: Dell E771a
Page filing: 549MB used, 701MB available

    Thanks in advance.

If you can afford any new bits you could get hold of a decent AGP card and maybe add some more Ram. Ebay could be your best option there. Just check your motherboard website for compatability or give us your motherboard model number and im sure someone can help you out. Hope you get sorted
