My Steam files corrupted when backed up & so I had to re-download 11 Gigs!! for only a few games.

Eido Cohen knows how to do this...

Maybe he could write the steps in here
Thanks for the compliment, Doug. Steam's support pages have written out all the steps for:

    1) Using the Steam Backup Feature

    2) Moving a Steam Installation and Games

The steps are quite detailed and self-explanatory.

  2. The following user thanks eido.cohen For this above post:

lol this is hilarious coming from a mod this place must have great credibility. this is practically a copy and paste of my cousins guide on evga forums

    http://www.evga.com/forumsarchive/tm.asp?m=560923

how about instead of trying to take credit for this guide you just link to the person that truly knows what they are talking about.

    The Steam Backup utility stinks.

I usually move the whole install but now that I have a SSD boot disk I will be using Steam Mover.

How about instead of assuming that this guide is stolen and attacking a super moderators as well as the sites credibility, before you speak think is this hard for someone that is good with computers or technology to figure out how to do.

the best advise I could think of to give you is to try not to make enemies in a forum you just joined ,yes I know I'm new as well but I don't go looking for fights if you were certain that shattered likeness post was a plagiarism it seems to me the best course would have been to send him a PM asking him to please give credit to the original author rather than attacking both him and the site publicly.
    EDIT:
sorry for the rant guys I put a lot of research into the sites I join and choose Pure OC because in my opinion it is the best I also realize how much work the staff actually puts into keeping the site running smoothly so when i feel someone is attacking site or staff I get defensive but as the case may be it could simply be spam considering it has been his only post and he links off site.
