Last fall, Ubisoft announced it was delaying the release of its open world action game Assassin's Creed 2 for the PC until the first quarter of 2010. Today Ubisoft sent word via an email press release that the PC version will ship on March 16. The PC port will contain the entire Asssassin's Creed 2 game plus the content that will be found in two console DLC additions, Battle of Forli and Bonfire of the Vanities. That version will ship to stores and also via download for (glup) $59.99. (Oh, Modern Warfare 2 . . . thanks for that).

In addition there will be a digital download-only version of Assassin's Creed 2 PC called the Black Edition. It will be priced at $64.99 and will have "additional content" besides that of the regular version. There's no word yet on what that content will be like. Ubisoft also revealed the PC version's system requirements which you can check out after the jump
