hmmm, don't know if things have changed since, but when that story was fresh, it was strictly for paid users only.

i've just been playing it now, i could get away with high settings as long as i went for medium texture quality, i'm only on 1GB memory at the moment on vista, but it ran pretty ok. pretty sure i've put 2xAA on, too.

    Benchmarking
The game has a GPU benchmark batch file in the following directory:

    C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis SP Demo\Bin32

The test will be looped four times and produce maximum, minimum and average frame rates.

    post 'em and your settings!

    2gb xms2 ram

i finished the whole game =D

it's pretty hard considering that the "cloak" mode consumes ALOT of your energy so basically you're just walk in cloaked mode, find cover and hide, switch to other modes and wait for energy regen, then switch back to cloak mode again = =

my 8800GTS (not overclocked) runs fine on HIGH as i'm using SP2, no dx10 T_T, temps only around 60+C

but sometimes the load is too much and the game just freezes.. = =
medium is already beautiful enough i guess xD

FOR THOSE WHO ARE GETTING THIS GAME, BEWARE! MANY BUGS, ANNOYING ONES TOO!!!

Im nearly finished the game, but got a little sidetracked by COD4. Beautiful lookng game and quite challenging as in ammo is hard to come by later in the game. Not tried multiplayer as of yet but have heared it has a lot of issues. All in all i feel satisfied that it was 25 well spent.
