    Default Improving on Counter Strike

Hi i was just wondering if anyone could share some tips how to improve kills and aim in general on CS. Sometimes i can get like 25-30 kills in a game sometimes 2, so i just wondered if anyone had any tips on how to make this more consistent.
    Any helps appreciated.

get a high DPI mouse, and adjust the pointer speed to one that suits you.
    What?

The bad thing is, is that ive got one. Iv got the logitech G518, but is mouse sensitivity a major thing in accuracy? plus would anyone reccommend getting a gaming keyboard?if so which ones are worth looking at.

its just frustrating that sometimes it seems impossible to get kills!

mouse is definitely critical, and so is the sensitivity, but only in respect to what suits your level of play. And put the following in the launch options:

    -noforcemspd -noforcemparms -noforcemaccel

Aa for general playing tips, the best advice i can give you is to care about living. If you rush round doors you will only ever get a good score when the other team is in chaos, so try and resist the urge.

The best thing to do is find niche positions to stand by which make it very hard to be hit as the enemy shows themselves around doors, etc. So find an awkward angle, get your aim ready, and wiggle from left to right as you wait. Eventually someone will show there face around a door and you'll be far more ready than they are. Imo this is the key difference between good and great players.

Another trick is to be careful as you enter new areas, just put your head round corners and start to run back in immediatly with your gun already aiming at the usual suspect places where someone is almost always standing, then you don't have to point and aim for them, you just have to click as you run back to safety. If you have a confident aim this will do wonders for your game.

    Other things to consider.

Use AK and deagle or M4 and deagle, sod all the other weapons unless you are good with the AWP + deagle combo.

Use good rates, minimum of 20000, 66 66.

Set your crosshair to a small size over default, around 2000 would be good, i uses 3300 thesedays in 1920x1200.

it's meant to give the optimal results for hit registration, i,e when you aim and shoot at someone, it will be more likely to actually hit them. It def makes a difference providing you are playing on high tickrate servers (66 or 100)

If you're wondering what tickrate it, the short answer is how often the server talks to you and feeds you information. 100 tickrate is standard on the best servers.

create a text file, place that text in it and name it autoexec.cfg.

place the file in the folder i mentioned above and it will load allthose settings when you start CSS you can add any command there.

that last command echo "text" simple means that when you load CSS and check the console, it should say whatever you place between the "", this is so you know it actually loaded the auto exec in the first place.
