    Default ASUS GeForce GTX 570

Today we're looking at the ASUS GTX 570, which is essentially based on the reference Nvidia design, though it does come with a minor overclock out of the box. Promising strong performance and low temperatures, the GTX 570 looks to continue the winning trend established by the 580.

    Thanks Jake,

I like what I am reading about the 570 cards. Thinking about selling my 2 HD5870s and investing in these new Nvidia cards

just wait to see what ATI has on the table for the 69XX series before you pull the trigger.

    Great Review Jake,
I'm on the verge of buying either a GTX570 or a GTX580 but i was wondering if its gonna make any significant difference to the GTX295 card i currently own?? Is it worth the upgrade?

    Should i Go for a single GTX580 or 2x GTX570 in SLI ?

ATI 6900 is definitely out for me.

interesting temperature results, the 570 is hotter than 580 with the limiter. How come when it's less power consumption?

poor or cheap heatsink design, perhaps Nvidia or (Asus) cuts cost to keep the 570 price down?

if you have the cash.....single card less driver issue with the SLI...if you have 30" monitor and play games with highest resolution then why not?

Bully, I just bought two EVGA GTX 580s, I'll be installing them tomorrow. I ran into problems with my 30" XHD 3000 so I bought a new 28" Hanns G I'll let you know how things work out.

Yeah i wouldnt mind a single GTX570 but i was just wondering if anyone can advise me how much will i gain in terms of performance over my current GTX295 video card?

I have a EVGA GTX570 Superclock reserved in the stores for me and that's one of the last piece in the entire mall. Everyone wants it, there will be no stocks until next year! So i better be quick before they let go of it!

Only a 1yr warranty and its 3 yrs old, I still might send it back to Gateway and find out how much to get it repaired.

Bully, I can't be sure how much of an upgrade from 295 to 570, I never benchmarked the 295, sorry. I do know the 570 is a killer card for the price though.

Deton, not sure about the reason for the temps. I was a bit surprised too. I retested to make sure and those are the correct temps and power results.

As for the 6900 cards, wait a couple days, the embargo lifts on the 15th at midnight. I'm working on the review and charts now. You may be surprised by the results.
