Today we are looking at the latest and greatest fan controller from Sunbeamtech, the Rheosmart 6. This new fan controller as I’m sure you have guessed controls up to six fans via rheostats built into a 5.25” drive bay, however it has the capability to run the six fans in PWM mode from your motherboard’s CPU fan header, even if they aren’t PWM fans.

Nice review. Thanks Steve.
Too bad these companies don't think outside the box
and add the little extra wire that would be needed for
a hassle free install.

Earthmonger, I like KISS tech, the new aquero might turn out to be a gem but up to now it is not available.... and it is more complicated so fails the Keep It Stupid Simple test

Good review Steve, nice unit. In the features you say that it monitors 6 temps but I didn't see anything else about it. Does it have additional probes like some of the others?
Okay, okay; I just read the review. Nice writing Duff. It is an attractive little unit. Got three questions, though:
1) Where do those temp probes hook up? I'm only seeing six 3-pin fan headers, one PWM mainboard header, and the 4-pin molex that powers the thing. Does it monitor temps via bios only?
2) Can the front panel LEDs be switched off?
3) Price? Was it mentioned and I missed it?

Steve, this is the part of the features I was referring to.
"Rheosmart 6 can control up to six fans independently and six temperatures can be monitored in either °C or °F."
I was asking how this was accomplished.

Confuse....damn right
So it's independing 6 fans controller but not temp monitoring right?
PWM is a great feature but it won't work it I use 3 fans for the radiator and 3 fans for the case.
Let say I hook the PWM to CPU header to regulate the 3 fans for the radiator then what happen to the rest of the fans?
Are they independing control in this "Auto" mode too?

If you hook them up to the CPU header then all the fans will run in PWM mode for the CPU, if you have a system fan header that supports PWM then they will run off that instead. You can switch each fan to manual or auto independently so you could have three fans running on auto in PWM mode and three fans in manual mode as well, so it would still work just fine for you Deton. This is probably the best little fan controller I have seen yet.
