Thanks Steve. My 1st dice run... Only ruined 1 board due to impatience..... I had the wrong chip in and think I didn't let it warm up long enough and when I switched chips, board didn't work.... LOLOriginally Posted by smduff

Jim, welcome to the "I Blew up a Motherboard Club", there are several of us members around here. I'm one of the elite, having killed quite a few boards in my day from either pushing things too hard or making idiot mistakes LOL.
Next up: frying a CPU. And for the Advanced class: trashing a whole system in one swoop! I'll be holding lectures soon.

put it on water then cut the tubing while you're benching and don't forget to youtube it
