Default Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

With the past Hyper212 and Hyper 212 Plus products, Cooler Master is looking to continue to tweakand improve upon a successful and cost effective design with the Hyper 212EVO. Still employing the versatile universal mounting solution for bothIntel and AMD systems, the 212 has been very impressive in theperformance-to-price battle in the marketplace. We’re hoping for more ofthe same here with the EVO.

Great review Steve. The 212 EVO continues the tradition as a bargain cooler that performs well for the cost.

Excellent review Steve. With what I would think is a better design of the contact plate on the EVO, I was surprised the results were not better than the other models.

    Good review,.....
I'm not sure that this Evo cooler is such a great deal for the price premium you pay over the Hyper 212 Plus. The Plus sells for $26.99 and the Evo is $34.99 at Newegg, both with free shipping.
Your tests don't show much cooling difference between the two at all, but the modified Copper tubes on the base-plate should conduct heat off of the CPU more efficiently.
Also, I wonder how hard it is to get another set of wire retaining clips for it so you could add a second fan?

As I see it, the Hyper 212 Plus is the better deal.
