Default ADATA S510 120GB Solid State Drive

We're looking at the cost effective drive offering from ADATA, the S510 120GB SATA III drive. Currently retailing for about $160, the primary reason for the lower cost is ADATAs choice of asynchronous (Async) NAND flash memory. But what about performance? Let's find out.

    That's a good price!......Sheeit!
With a 3 year warranty and acceptable speeds, the price that they're asking for this just looks better.

This is a fantastic review, Jon. I'm thinking that this SSD may be exactly what I'm looking for - a decent performing drive at a very reasonable price. Hell, I can get two for less than the price of some 240GB drives. And if you say you'd buy it that gives me a lot of confidence.

I can't install this thing! The drive wasn't initialize when I got it. I followed the instructions to initialize it; "go to control panel/administrative tools/computer management/storage/disk management then it will tell you to initialize disk"

My computer still do not see it..

Okay, I manage to get it to show up but it says..

Why is it only 99mb and says System Reserved?

Okay, I manage to get it to show up but it says..

Why is it only 99mb and says System Reserved?
That's not the SSD. It's showing megabytes, not Gigabytes. Do you have a platter drive in the system already? If so, that's the Windows System Reserved partition you're seeing.
