nice review Kip. i would be interested to see the ssd performance from what i've seen the x79 is not to great with ssd performance. one other thing i would like msi to quit doing is the friggin 90 degree sata cables THEY SUCK I have them and I hate them. but other than that I must say my msi board does kick the hell out of most everyone else. OH yeah ide compatibility mode would be a welcome addition so i dont have to use my asus board to run hdderase

Good review Kip. I agree with Bill Gates on the 90 degree cables but not a deal breaker. Isn't it time for something different than Military Class(Outdated). Bone the less not bad.

    Thanks guys

We have a three-way ASUS X79 review coming up shortly. Wont be any military stuff on these three boards at least.

I use G-parted to internal erase my SSDs and that works great on these X79 boards. Just another tool when you cant go IDE.

We have 4 more of the new boards waiting in line; just finishing up the images on the UD5 and will mount it tomorrow. It looks like a nice rig and will be fun playing around with it I am sure.

Good reveiw,..........will wait to see how these boards stack up to all of the others quality wise. It does have a nice feature set, but MSI boards have bitten me in the past, so I'm shy about that brand.
