    Default ASUS P9X79 Motherboard Roundup

Today we have three motherboards from their new X79 lineup for review. Each of these boards share many similarities but also some distinct differences, and rather than splitting them up into separate reviews, we've decided to compile them all into one big roundup. It's a one-stop shop for some of the high-end ASUS X79 motherboards.

Are any of these motherboards better than the AsRock Extreme 9? If so How? I know this thread is for the Asus X79 boards so if my question is off topic please disregard and accept my apologies.

As for overclocking I did not find anything different between the Pro and Deluxe. What I am finding is that the UEFI for the ASUS boards as a whole have a much deeper set of performance tweaking possibilities.

We have another X79 board coming up shortly, the Gigabyte UD5, and I really like the auto OC function on this board. Click one button, reboot and I found a rock solid 4.5GHz system.

Most of my mobos are Asus , the different between Pro vs Deluxe is the extra features and accessories. Overall, performance and design are still the same board.
example; the Deluxe has two Gb Lan ports, OC remove, WiFi antenna...etc.

Great review, I'm partial to ASRock Mainboards usually, but ASUS is the parent company of ASRock are they not? I do have one ASUS FM1 board and I see no real difference in quality with it and my ASRock boards.

    Here's my 3 PCMark 7 scores, with a 3960X / 990X / and a 2700K, both the 3960X and 2700K had a single Asus Matrix GTX580, the 990X system ran a single GTX 590, and surprisingly the 2700K system scored the highest score
