Fantastic review, Jake. I have to say that it is the best, most well-written and informative review I've seen on PureOC to date. Very good job.
And, well, the card speaks for itself. I'm thoroughly impressed with the technology built into this card. True innovation, and the launch price is great.
Makes me regret not waiting for this release before buying my 7970, but only a little. I'm thinking that AMD will drop prices on the 7970 quite a bit over the next few months and I'll be able to afford another XFX 7970 Black Edition. Competition is a good thing for consumers.

Sam, don't count on AMD dropping prices anytime soon, in order to drop the price on the 7970, they would have to drop prices on all their cards, and they still have cards to release

Really nice review, and extra long^^!
Apart from the enthusiasts who will buy it anyway, I think the most important question for many will be if Kepler is really necessary at 1080p
Over 65% of the community has 580s lol, the necessasity for Kepler in terms of performance and upgrading from a 580 should in my opinion only be conducted if multiple displays and 3D are involved, don´t you agree?
The price is phenomenal, there are still 580s with almost the same price which makes it even more enticing.
When do you think the first waterblocks will hit the market?

Is that the model you plan on buying? I would if I were you. You've waited this long; what's a couple more weeks to get an extra 2GB of VRAM? You made a smart move holding off while a bunch of us jumped on the 7970 band wagon. I'm not sorry I did, as I really like my 7970, but am a little pissed about the price I paid compared to the intro price of the 680.
