Is the GeForce GTX 680 fast? It certainly is, but that's not really unexpected. So what's really intresting and impressive? How about providing twice the performance per Watt? What about dynamically adjusting clock speeds, voltages, and power consumption hard-wired into the card? What about Base Clocks and Boost Clocks, and automatic overclocking out of the box?

Wow amazing card indeed and a huge improvement over the GTX580 now time to consider if i should let go of both my GTX580 and buy a single GTX680 or wait for GTX690 ?

Price vs Performance is something AMD simply can't match, they will not catch up to this card until the release of the HD7990, then Nvidia will beat that a month or two later with the release of their GTX690

Cool review Jake. You covered everything completely and made it a very interesting read.
This launch is even better than what I imagined it would be.
The Adaptive Overclocking Technology is certainly groundbreaking, and will be something to brag about for those that are lucky enough to get these cards.
FXAA and Adaptive V-Sync gets my vote too. As you said, the fact that it's exclusive to NVIDIA will be a real bonus for those in the market for a card and comparing features.
This card is like a smorgasbord of cool features to enjoy and I'm betting that Irocing will be making his mind up by the end of today.
Once manufacturers start building their own improvements into this design there's no telling the market traction these cards will end up with.
So on it's launch day, this card is suddenly the card to have,....Heh-Heh!
And of course, a quick look at Newegg show all brands offered are out of stock already and that doesn't surprise me at all.
AMD had a good run for a while with their 7970's, but that's abruptly over now.
