Nice review!! Looks like a great keyboard. I wonder how these compare to the steel series and the corsair K90 keyboards as the mainstream brands.

agree that the full backlit will make this keyboard more desirable.. I mean I would want one! lolz

Yes, but it isn't mechanical with cherry mx switches. Backlit mechanical keyboard are pretty rare, especially ones with red backlighting.

Mechanical refers to the type of switch that's under the keys on some keyboards.
They are of a high quality and last a long time. They take a lot of abuse and are not affected by it. They're expensive to buy, and people who have them usually never go back to using cheaper keyboards after they use a Mechanical Keyboard.

Here are some links for reading up on them.

Another advantage to mechanical keyboards is that the key activates nearly as soon as you begin pressing it, as opposed to non-mechanical keyboards that require the key be pressed all the way down before it registers. Mechanical keyboards significantly improve typing speed and reaction time in games, but take some getting use to if you are heavy handed. I had one in the past and lost it in a move. It is a tragedy I still haven't fully recovered from.
