Default ASUS P8Z77-V Deluxe and Pro

Today, we have a double whammie review in store with two new ASUS Z77 offerings, named the P8Z77-V Deluxe and the P8Z77-V Pro. So open a nice cold frosty beverage as we see how they handle Intelís new Ivy Bridge processors with a look at some extreme cooling and see what they can unleash.

HiCookie just hit over 7GHz with the 3770K & LN2 using the Gigabyte Z77 UD3 he also broke the worlds record on memory using the Gigabyte Z77x - USD5 and the G.Skill TridentX 2800 kit, he was able to hit 3280MHz with all 4 slots being populated.

HiCookie has alot of money to burn. Maybe Asus and Gigabyte give him the chips and boards, I am happy at 4.0GHz. I have nothing to gain from more than that at this time. Cheers to HiCookie though and hope he hits 10.0GHz with LN2 soon. Great reviews Jim, I really enjoyed reading them.

He's not spending any money, everything comes from sponsors. I'm hoping Jim will hit the 6GHz mark once the TridentX kit is installed. Jim, talk to Logan, his dad can get LN2 and it should be cheaper than buying it retail

^5 Jim, good review. 5.8ghz is cool and I bet a blast to tweek to get there. Dry Ice is fun to mess with too. Do you think with water cooling it could run stable at say 4.2GHZ? I'd be very happy at 4ghz, nice play buddy, enjoyed the trip.

Which chip? Sandy or Ivy? Both will get at least 4.6GHz

Ivy, can it run on water with no additional attention at 4ghz? Or what do you think it can run stable at?

Depends on how good your water cooling is. I pushed the envelope at 4.8GHz but surely 4.2-4.4GHz will be optainable. BTW, The ECS Gold Z77 review is started.
