Default Cooler Master CM Storm Scout II

LAN parties and mobile computing have been around for decades, but with the huge variety of hardware in the market today, choosing a chassis that can store all of your hardware and make it easier to go mobile can still be daunting. Of course, we here at PureOverclock do our best to help alleviate that problem, so today we are going to be taking a look at a chassis from Cooler Master to see if it should garner your attention. The case is the Cooler Master CM Storm Scout II, and it is designed to store full size motherboards and graphics cards, yet still provide easy mobility. We have the opportunity to look at the new release of the Cooler Master CM Storm Scout II. If you are familiar with the CM Storm Scout series you will soon see with this review that Cooler Master has made quite a few upgrades to potentially make things easier than its previous version. As we move further along into the review we will also include some comparison shots of the old and new cases. Now, let's dive in to see what this Cooler Master CM Storm Scout II has to offer.

Great review Kenny! My wife owns the original scout, its a good case with a few flaws but it looks like they fixed them with this new version. The fan mounts on the side panel were in a possition where you couldnt install the top fan if you had a large cpu cooler(Hyper 212). Looks like there should be no problem with that anymore!

Thanks Jim, Yea they did some great revisions compared to the Scout 1. I tried to point out as many as I can. I had the Scout 1 also for a while, well I still do I just don't have a build in it right now, lolz...You are correct about the fan placement on the first Scout, Which is nice to see Cooler Master made that change... It was one of the items I brought up in the review. I really also like the new cable management features...The first one had little to no cable management at all..

Tell me about it, the cable management is a disaster in her system. If i get time tonight or tomorrow ill post a few pics of my wife's comp for comparison. The best feature and this is why we bought the case was the handle, my wife is 5'4 110 pounds ,shes always rearranging things so it makes it easy for here to move around. The front bezel on the 1st scout comes off very easy so much so if i picked it up by the front with all my hardware it would pop right off. Is it the same on the 2nd version? Im really contemplating selling hers and getting this one! Thanks again Kenny!

Great review!! Case is pretty nice. Like the new features and the old but improved ones as well.
