Xigmatek is a name well-known as a world leading innovator in PC thermal performance and peripherals. With so many advance innovations in today's tech world, we sometimes wonder, "do some of these slight changes in design from competitor to competitor really make a difference? Today we will be taking a look at Xigmatek's new line of PC fans and see if their unique designs answer that question. We are going look at 4 models, and each has its own touch of flare. We will be putting them to the test to see how they stack up to the competitors. We have the following models today: Xigmatek's XAF-F1253 (120mm Orange Blades), Xigmatek XAF-F1251 (120mm Black Blade), Xigmatek XAF-F1456 (140mm Blue Blade), and Xigmatek XAF-F1454 (140mm Smoked Blade). Before we dive into the essence of the XAF series fans, lets talk a little about Xigmatek.

I didn't notice any diff with them mounted Horizontially, I had them all placed horizontally during testing for some of the pics (to capture the LEDs on) and they performed the same as if they were vertically on the bench.

Fan controller will help with controlling the noise if you don't want to run at full speed. I didn't notice anything abnormal about them in low speeds, I also used a fan controller to make sure all the PWM models were tested at full speed which used a molex plug to power. Did a great job.
