Hey Vinny, great job on the notebook cooler reviews !

Today we have the pleasure of reviewing two very unique designs and new arrivals from the NZXT family of coolers, the NZXT CRYO V60 and the NZXT CRYO X60 Notebook Coolers. First, the NZXT CRYO V60 is ultra slim with a very sleek design, and an entirely new concept that features a Vortex Air design blade-less fan. This new tech produces an uninterrupted stream of cool air and is powered by two integrated dual low-noise adjustable 75 mm blower fans. The NZXT CRYO V60 comes available in black or white, and features three USB charging ports for external devices, built in fan speed control, and a power on/off LED button. The CRYO V60 will also support notebooks up to 15 inches and may be perfect for people on the go. It should be sturdy enough to support some of the heaviest laptops.
The NZXT CRYO X60 is not your traditional laptop cooler. It was created for optimal comfort for laptop users with a thin and lightweight design. Also, its asymmetrical aluminum body and vertical cutouts offer the user improved air flow to their laptop. This is bolstered by its two 12 mm X 120 mm fans and five speed fan controller. The NZXT CRYO X60 also provisions four USB 2.0 ports, three for peripherals, and one to power up your X60 Via USB connection. It also includes an AC adapter as an additional power source. With the high temperatures we often experience from our laptops (especially when gaming), we are always looking for ways to keep it running cooler. Read on as we put these coolers to the test and see if the NZXT CRYO V60 and X60 are the cooling solutions that will work for you.

Thanks guys these two coolers are really nice especially the X60
I really don't care for the V60 in white, I would have preferred black over white but that's just my color preference
and It performed pretty good with that new vortex design.

Hey Vinny, how come you didn't test the coolers on the same laptop?
the reason I ask because I notice your i5 2410 runs hotter than B950. I'm sure the V60 can be use on the 17" lappy. If you test on the same system then we can tell which one is best for value performance, right now I see the X60 cost $10 per °c because it has only 2°c delta over the V60 with one extra USB port.
It's definitely the X60 is superior than the V60, if you use the X60 on the B950 laptop, I am sure the temp will drop more than 7 degrees as it did with the i5 2410.
But for best value performance I would pick the V60 over the X60 if there is a black version of V60

The white v60 would look good with either a white or silver laptop or notebook

I agree with Tony, the same laptop should have been used for both reviews, was there a specific reason why you used two different test systems ?

Yes there was the V-60 is made for small notebooks, 15 inch not 17 inch
the X60 is a lot bigger and if you read the USB on the X60 does data transfer as well as power
The V60 does not, that's why the big price differences also plastic versus aluminum.

And if that's the case next time I will use the smaller laptop on both coolers I see your point now!
Bottom line they are both good coolers price and performance wise, for what they are and what they have to offer.![]()
