Default Cooler Master CM Storm Scout 2 Advance Chassis

Roughly six months ago, Cooler Master introduced the new Cooler Master CM Storm Scout II to the world. This was a revision of its previous model, the Scout I. The Storm Scout II was well received and even earned a PureOC Good Hardware Award from us. Even though the initial release of the Scout II went well, Cooler Master still likes to listen to consumers and the PC modding community to improve things further. They took feedback from a number of online forums and from reviews like ours just to take the next iteration of the lineup to the next level.Today we have their newest revision - The Cooler Master CM Storm Scout II Advance. The new Scout II Advance series chassis now comes with several design enhancements, and even includes a new color called "Ghost White." Let's dive in to take a deeper look at these changes and see how they improved upon the previous chassis.

Here are some updates on this case, I ended up using this case for my LanPC and so far its been awesome, easy to carry around.

Since the review, I swapped out some of the fans to some cougars (PWM on CPU Cooler) and 3pin for others, added the 120mm at the lower section, I also change the cards from my 6870s to my sapphire 6950s 2GB, I have both cards flashed to 6970 bios and OC to 6970 clocks. Only thing I didn't do was change the voltage, so they are pretty much running as 6970s, but a few FPS behind the actual cards.

It was a nice day out so I took it outside to clean up the dust and while I was at it, took some pics out in the yard.

Default Cooler Master CM Storm Scout 2 Advance Chassis

Great review! I'm seriously thinking about buying this case. Just not sure yet if I should get an i3 3220 + B75MA-P45 (yes mATX, but an ATX board is 30 more, which is about 60% more. Unacceptable for me ), or a slightly more expensive FX6300 + ASUS M97A Rev2.0 or Asrock 970 extreme 4.
Bound between this and the Fractal Design Arc Mini, but I'm leaning towards this. This case actually is lighter, which is important for me
Oh, and you've missed one really small detail in the conclusion: the case also comes in grey (also probably my favourite colour in which this comes)

EDIT2: nice little lanrig! Would you mind telling the specs?

Thanks! Yea, its a great case, you won't be disappointed with it. mATX will give you plenty of space. While a ATX board will fit, its tight in some spots, The Scout II Advance was only advertised in midnight black and ghost white, the grey was the older model Scout II (non advance edition). Unless CM has added another color that we were not aware of.

But here is the info we got from CM's page..
CM Storm Scout 2 Advanced - Cooler Master

I see! I think CM must've sneakily released one then . The site does indeed say black and white!
Here is where I found the grey one:
EDIT: also just found a review on the grey version on another site, which I'm not going to link for the sake of advertising

And also, thanks for the info mate! I'll look into mATX, though at google images, the mATX looked a bit too spacey for me, while ATX looked a bit tight.
Maybe I'll make a PSU cover from the MoBo box and make it a bit higher and go with mATX, or just go for the ATX AMD build
