When it comes to computers, cooling is one of the first and foremost issues that must be confronted whether we are running our computers at stock settings or overclocked. It really makes no difference because there is always going to be heat generated from every electrical component in our system. My question to you is, how do you keep it under control? We all are aware of the vast amount of ways to accomplish this, whether it’s faster or bigger fans, or water cooling for example. Fans usually are the cheapest, easiest and most cost effective resolution to improve or adjust cooling throughout your system.Today on the test bench we have four NZXT FZ-200mm fans, including the non-LED and colored LED FZ-200 additions to the NZXT family of fans.
The NZXT FZ 200mm fans are engineered to provide high performance cooling with an airflow rating of 103 CFM while maintaining a silent operating profile of only 20 dBA at the highest settings. This provides a 15% increase in cooling performance over their previous FS models. The FZ 200 sets a new standard with a true 200mm wide diameter fan blade and is NZXT’s most ambitious 200mm fan yet.If you’re anything like me and feel that looks are equally as important as performance, you are in luck. The FZ-200 comes in five different LED colors: Blue, Red, Green, White and Orange to match almost any build. Moreover each fan comes with long sleeved cables that will help you keep unattractive fan wires hidden from view. The NZXT FZ 200mm fan is designed to achieve high airflow with minimal fan noise. It operates at 700 ± 200 RPM and is backed by a 2-year warranty. Read on and see if the NZXT FZ 200mm fan is the easy cooling solution for you.

Good review Vinny !

Hey Vin, what are the actual dimensions of the fans? On page 1 you say the fan blade radius is 200mm, but the frame seems to add another 10mm (total 20mm). So that's like 220mm wide. But the box says it's only 200mm wide. So I'm confused. Miner point though.
Did you test these fans at anything besides 12v?
Looks like they performed pretty well at 12v, even in a horizontal mount. If these had proper (185mm) mounting holes I'd be very interested in them, especially since they come in green.

Mounting Hole Distance on these frames is 154 x 154 mm
Here is were they mention blade diameter only
True 200mm Wide Diameter (Opposed to 193mm)
As far as running them under 12 volts yes I have and they are extremely quiet when I do that
and the difference in temps is negligible
I know the fans frames are 30 mm thick
I am going to pull the one off the door and see if I can measure the actual outside diameter for you
because your right it adds to the overall size

Thanks James a 15% improvement doesn't sound like much but when you crank them down to the lower settings
your getting better airflow then before, and they become whisper quiet in my case.

Well........
The radius is...@10mm...however, with ears....11mm(outside, hole edge)
The Diagonal is 22.3mm....outside hole edge, but....edge to edge of ears diagonally....22.9MM...
