Default Cooler Master V Series 850W and 1000W

Today we're looking at a couple of units from Cooler Master, specifically the V Series power supplies, which come with a fully modular design, 80Plus Gold certification, and attractive price tags at $189 for 850W and $210 for the 1000W model. Toss in a single +12V rail and a 5 year warranty, and we've got something very enticing here. The real question, however, remains: how do they perform? Let's find out.

Very good review Jake. The cables alone makes it worth picking up.

Great review Jake!! Cooler Master is doing a great job in the quality of their products! I have 3 CM Power Supplies an earlier version being the RS 850 EMBA was my first one I picked up and even though its been out for a few years the quality and appearnce is amazing! Its not moldular but other than that appearnce and quality is fantastic! I love the new ones such as the V Series and the Silent Pro Hybrid which as of now I have 2 of them! I got the 850 and the 1300 Silent Pro Hybrid and they are amazing! Picked up the 850 last thanksgiving and thats when I noticed the flat cable design with of course its modular and the Fan controll Module! Now I have the 1300 Silent Pro Hybrid !!!! Here it comes!!!! That I thankfully won in the Pure OC 2013 Summer Giveaway and can say how Gratefull I am for that eternally Gratefull!!! But going back to Cooler Master the quality and performance of their power suppllys are amazing and for the Enthusiast like myself that xtra power is surely going to come in handy for future upgrades !The flat cables, modular design looks even down to the awesome packaging! Amazing Heck you could do a video on the packaging LOL by its self! I think all this attention to detail just shows the overall quality and thinking they put into their products and the V Series just another example! LOL I sound like a commercial LOL Sorry guys!

Definitely a nice step up for CM. Turning to Seasonic for the OEM on the V-Series was a great move.

I actually (finally) had a moment today, where I could sit down and read this review. Great job on it, very informative. I'm glad to see that Seasonic and CM are still going very strong in this market, and that these units are competitively priced. I'm also happy to see that there's a 700W unit, and additionally these bad boys are all on sale at newegg at this very moment. The 700W model is $129.99 USD, with an available $30 USD MIR additionally; the 850W unit is on sale for $179.99, and an additional MIR nets you another $30 USD off; the 1kW version is $189.99 and there's a $10 USD MIR obtainable as well. Obviously, these are some epic deals right now, I only wish I had the money to get any of them.

    newegg CM V series PSUs

Anyway, thanks again for the informative review, I appreciate it!
