Default Gamdias Hermes Ultimate Keyboard Review

Gamdias is a company that is likely not well known by many computer enthusiasts, except for perhaps some of the diehards in the crowd. In truth, Gamdias has only been around for a couple years, designing keyboards (and the company) from the ground up. The Gamdias Hermes Ultimate mechanical keyboard is a fully backlit mechanical board that caters to discerning consumers who want something unique,, offering some very innovative features and software, extensive macros, full N-Key rollover, backlit illumination, sound dampeners, and onboard memory. Let's have a closer look.

I have owned this KB for a few months and I rather enjoy using it. The problem is "The Gamdias Hermes Ultimate can run as a plug and play device, but that would be like keeping a Ferrari in the driveway." This is exactly what I have done. Never downloaded the Hera software until last night. OMG there are endless options. I think I can program a few keys to make me even more deadly in Titanfall. Its on now Mofos!

Great in depth review Jake. Gamdias can really be a player in the peripheral market even they keep creating solid products.

Have you noticed that the keypad doesn't have the rubber pads under the keys?

The palm rest is so big to stop Doritos crumbs from falling onto your lap. Never paid attention to the keypad. lol

Nice review. I can easily see exactly why the likes and dislikes are as they are as well. Heck, take that wrist rest/dust cover away and it'll probably drop to $100, lol. That is also the absolute weirdest macro key placement I've ever seen as well. Idk how in the world they expect that to work for anyone.

I use it as well and I rarely even notice the lower keys. On some occasions I hit one the keys on the left when reaching for ctrl or shift. When first using the Kb it you have to remember those keys over on the left are not the end of the normal set of keys. Your mind tells you to reach over there to hit ctrl, shift caps lock ect because you are used to them being on the end. After a couple days you will be rolling on this KB. I like it and use it more than my Tesoro

First of all once you have used a mechanical keyboard you can never use a regular one again. Getting used to different options and functions Is the easy part.

Very Nice Review Jake! This may be the next keyboard I have to try.. Right no I am using the Logitech G710+ and I love it, but of the 10+ mechanical keyboards I have used there has only been a handful that I really liked and the brown switches are perfect for me..
