Default HyperX Cloud II Headset Review

Introduction HyperX, a sub-division of Kingston, hit the market strong over the few last years. They have created a name that has been praised by many and they have taken a big leap into PC Peripherals and Accessories arena. During CES 2014, HyperX announced the launch of its headset the HyperX Cloud. The Cloud headset got great reviews from many sites last year including our own, and this year at CES 2015 they launched a revision called the HyperX Cloud II headset. With its relaunch of the headset, our question is…will the HyperX Cloud II headset live up to its older*brother’s expectations? Well… today we are going to put the new HyperX Cloud II to the test and find out. If you have not read our review on the version 1 of this headset, head over to our review section Here and read the full review so you can compare the difference like we are doing today. But before we do that, let’s talk a little bit about who HyperX is. * About HyperX: “HyperX is the high-performance product division of Kingston Technology, the world’s largest independent memory manufacturer. Started in 2002, HyperX began with one line of high-performance memory and has grown over the years to encompass multiple product lines of memory modules, solid-state drives, USB Flash drives, headsets and mouse pads. Featuring best-in-class components that have delivered superior performance, quality and aesthetic design for more than a decade, HyperX products are the choice of top-rated gamers, tech enthusiasts and overclockers worldwide. From setting memory world records to achieving the most stringent product certifications, HyperX is committed to delivering reliable products with the highest performance standards. In addition, HyperX is the proud sponsor of over 20 gaming teams globally and the main sponsor of the Intel Extreme Masters and Dreamhack festivals. HyperX products are designed to meet the most rigorous demands of professional gamers to give them the winning edge and help gamers stay on top of their game.” Let’s move on here and take a look at the HyperX Cloud Headset.

Nice review Kenny. Good looking headset. I used crappy headsets for so long I didnt think switching to a top end set would make that much of a difference. Wrong. I have a true 7.1 set now and I don't think I could ever go back to 2.1 or even 5.1 after these. You hear so much that was not part of the game play before. These look like a decent 7.1 alternative and are for sure cheaper than what I am currently using.

Thank you Guys! Great headset and with the new updates to the cloud II headset, they made some big improvements with the inline USB sound card.
Although the 7.1 is virtual surround sound, they made the sound profile really balanced.

For the money! This is a great buy! I am still using the Cloud I version from last year and this is a great additional to my collection of headsets.

Great review Kenny, really like that headset

I need a new headset my Sentey Pro 7.1 which I love has taken a dump and for some reason is no longer clear lots of static and distortion.

I contacted Sentey and its related to USB 3.0 it dosent like it works fine on 2.0
