Introduction It feels like PC hardware has come a long way in a short time and I’m not talking about performance. Even 10 years ago, ugly white boxes and solid metal side panels were still a norm for many a desktop out there. Today, if it isn’t meant to look pretty, then it isn’t meant to be seen. We have excellent heatsink designs, decorative I/O shields, tempered glass side panels and RGB in just about every component. PCs have never looked better, but that didn’t stop NZXT from trying to raise the bar higher than it already is.
The Kraken series has always been a great group of CPU coolers. In fact, this is only the second time NZXT has decided to revise the series since its release. The X62 looks like it has some nice improvements to help performance, but it’s that gorgeous design that makes it an exciting unit to review. We’ll look at all the ins and outs of this new design, but first let’s check out a statement from NZXT themselves.

$159 for a 280mm CLC that can't outcool a Nepton 240 or most $70 air coolers. More laughable stuff from Asetek...... This whole CLC platform is a bad joke at this point.

Great review Josh. This one bring us nothing new (I'm referring of cooling) in already oversaturated AIO market.
Always look beyond the limits...

Yeah, I've concluded that with cooling, you get what you get with a CLC. If I want quality cooling, I'm sticking with a Swiftech unit or a custom loop. If I want simplicity, I'm grabbing a 280mm CLC that looks the best. Kraken looks the best right now.![]()
