    Default NZXT Tempest

NZXT has dubbed their Tempest case the “Airflow King”. Considering the great number of cases on the market right now that are able to boast some incredible cooling performance, it seems that NZXT has a lot to live up to in order to claim the crown. Is the Tempest truly the “Airflow King” they say it is, or is it just another case trying take the crown and falling short? We hope to be able to answer this for you today.

Looking at the pictures from the installation section really make me realize that I need to start cleaning off the fingerprints from the Freezone Elite before I take pics. :$

Case looks pretty good. Perhaps a smoke grey side panel would make it look even better.

Yeah the finger prints really need to be cleaned off lol, a shot with the fans on with the system installed would have been nice also. Did the side panel fit with the Elite installed ?

Fit with no problems whatsoever. I haven't found too many cases that it is a problem on, as long as they don't have HUGE fans on the side panels.

the layout of that case, the hard drives running parallel to the motherboard tray, and ghetto wire management reminds me of something we'd have seen years ago. this thing needs some updating!

    good review!

Graphics card Temps were up a degree pr two, as compared to my SilverStone Fortress FT01. Can't really comment on CPU Temps, as the Freezone Elite takes care of that. If I can get ahold of a few fan filters, I'm tempted test it out in a positive airflow configuration, to see if that drops the temps. I noticed a big difference when testing the FT01, between using a positive/ negative airflow setup.

They also released the tempest evo, and I think it has all black interiors and a smoke grey window panel compared to this. other than that, no real differences.

I really like the way the tempest evo case looks, if it had the features of the lancool dragonlord pc-k62. that would be enough for me to make the switch.
