Default OWC Mercury Extreme Pro 120GB SSD

Recently the SandForce-based SSDs have been making waves with their killer performance numbers, and today we're looking at a horse of a different colour, so to speak. The OWC Mercury Extreme Pro 120GB SSD certainly does come in a unique colour, but under the hood it packs the same horsepower in the forms of the SandForce SF-1200 controller, a little juggernaut that has made quite a positive impression on us.

Great review jake, that is one quick drive but the price is one spicy meatball even with an extra 2 yrs warrenty IMO. In 2 yrs they are going to develop faster drives so it is a toss up in my opinion.

Yes Vin, the difference is less than a blink!

OL, I setup another test rig, tried AHCI install on Win 7 from scratch rather than doing the IDE-to-AHCI registry switch. Seems to be good now.
