  1. Re: Attention Overclockers: Don’t Buy a Ryzen 2700X!

If you already have a Ryzen then it's really not worth it, not enough gains over the earlier version to justify upgrading but if doing a "From Scratch" build then it's viable.

Re: Gtx 1080 Ti Fe - temp limit issue on stock

Would like to see additional specs such as the case you have it in, OS used and such.
The case is certainly of interest whenever temp problems at stock come up, could be something with not getting...
  3. Re: AMD Ryzen 2nd Gen CPUs Ready for Pre-Order – Why You Should and Why You Shouldn’t

Had thought about doing a Ryzen build earlier and may do one before too long anyway.
Since I didn't do one earlier I woudn't be in for both, older and newer versions of the chip like I was for AM3+...

  8. Re: Light flickering during huge Wind - how can i be sure that pc is fine.

Yes, normally it isn't a huge deal to worry about if you have a powerstrip..... However brownouts are in many ways more dangerous and can fry stuff quickly.
If you ever have one of those turn stuff...

Re: Doubt... i9 7980x or Ryzen Threadripper 1950x

Most likely they won't solder the lids being they are still trying to stay cheap while charging way more for their chips than AMD, not to mention get something competitve in the market ASAP.

Re: Doubt... i9 7980x or Ryzen Threadripper 1950x

Go with what will suit your needs of course and that looks to be a setup capable of heavily loaded multi-threaded computing.
I'd have to give the nod to the TR 1950X for that reason alone since the...

    Re: Most Bad-ass Air Coolers?

Vinman is right, what it will affect is how much heat it can handle and vent to atmosphere.
Speaking of heatpipe count my Susanoo has a total of 12 pipes and 4 100mm fans so it can handle alot of...

Manufactuer isn't the issue, that would be the IC's used in the sticks.
Corsair for example uses several different IC's in their sticks and even though it may be of the same stick model, the...

Re: FX De-lid and overclocking FX-9590

Yes, there is no guarantee you'd get the same contact between the CPU itself and it's lid every time, like it was when we were delidding our 939's way back when.
You'd also need the same basics, a...

  22. Re: Can you alter 2 6-pins into 1 8-pin without an adapter?

I'd have to say get an adapter or another PSU, certainly possible to do but why chance it?

My vote between the two choices would be to get a proper PSU for your setup.
