    Re: Geforce GTX 560 Ti

You won't run into heat issues unless you unlock voltage control and bump the voltage up.

The magic smoke would escape from my 560 Ti folding card if it wasn't water cooled, but it is running at...

Re: I am a liberal. Check this out!

The government can't tax its way out of a spending problem.
If the government taxed all income above 100k/year at 100%, it would not even cover the budget deficit for one year, so we would still be...

Re: I am a liberal. Check this out!

    Useless chart.

Make a chart that shows year by year debt, as a percentage of GDP, and it will be a little more meaningfull, but still lacking in context. Also, the costs of Obamacare haven't even...

Re: Windows 8 to reconnect to Wi-Fi in seconds

I never tried it. I imagine the boot time would be slightly improved, but I'm not aware of any significant improvements to tablet mode operation in Win7 over Vista.
A SSD will fix the boot time...
  7. Re: Battlefield 3 Crashing and Causing IE, Chrome to crash

If you have hardware accelleration turned on in Chrome, try turning it off.
I don't have Chrome, but I had some odd issues with Firefox+other graphics tasks that went away when I turned hardware...

Re: Windows 8 to reconnect to Wi-Fi in seconds

Well, if you have a convertible tablet PC it is looking like it will be worthwhile to upgrade to Win8, but other than that it doesn't seem worth it, unless you want to play Xbox games on your PC.

    Re: Case Mod Major Fail

Don't forget masking tape, lots of masking tape!

Even though the plexi has a protective film on it, I recommend you cover both sides with masking tape.
It gives you something to draw the cut...

Re: Just bought Aqua computing 480 Rad

That case is interesting to me as it can house 2 independent computer systems in the one case. One miniITX in the top section and up to a XL-ATX in the lower section.

Re: Just bought Aqua computing 480 Rad

Yeah, and if these things actually perform as well as a couple independent sources keep hinting, these may cool better than some larger conventional WC radiators.
If that is true, it may be possible...

With one, you can set up 2 independent loops using one...

    Re: EVGA Frostbite Thermal Paste

    Good to know, thanks!
I've seen other reviews where it did very badly at normal air and water cooling temps, but haven't seen any sub zero testing.

I don't plan on doing anything near as cold as...

Re: 50% of the US lives in poverty
