Hello tech - Been awhile since I have been on the forum..I have all but quit messing with computers. The only thing I have on hand is a new unused Coolit Omni VGA cooler for a 5870 that I won in a...
And he got my opinion as well DD...Thanks. ;)
One post...you should be embarrassed for replying to a 7 month old thread.
I'll make a lower resolution screenshot later. I'm assuming I need to stop each WU for a brief period in order to separate them for completion time? What is the effect if you don't do this?
Grumpy - I have been using this auto-config utility... techPowerUp! Forums - View Single Post - Guide to running multiple GPU work units
Can you confirm it is doing it's job?
Edit: Put the...
You are saying I should be completing a unit in 40 seconds? That would be incredible! Fastest I have seen on my systems is 5minutes 30 seconds. One current rig with a W3580 and a single 5850 running...
This 7970 is beastly...cranking out six units at a time in seven minutes flat and I havent even overclocked it yet. I may postpone installing it in the gamer for just a bit lol. :p
Correction - It...
When do I get a purple name? :p
Just arrived for the gamer...wonder what ppd this puppy will do? :)

Expect to surpass my first million sometime early this morning...:toast:
Sweet! :toast:
Just for future reference the Xeon L5639 will not boot in two different motherboards so far...knew it was a gamble going in. Suppose I will have to wait on the 980X now.
I own and have used quad core Xeon's before, but none of the six core versions as of yet. I have one on the way to test and will know next week.
I had considered AMD, but I have 1366 mb's on hand and can get them for half the cost. Looking at some Xeon chips for about the same price and if I understand correctly the energy consumption is less...
Pm sent buddy.
Seems downclocking the cpu's have had minimal effect on gpu output over the past few days...think I will continue with default settings. Looking at picking up a couple more six-core...
With that much glass I bet it will be difficult. Maybe some U-shaped plastic channel that could be affixed around the perimeter hiding the lamps and directing the glow towards the inside? I think I...
Is there any method used that allows the installation of the led lighting without the led's being seen? Guess I'm trying to say where you see the glow but not the bulbs themselves.
That's a heck of a window there! Now you will have to be neat with your cable routing for sure. :p
I've down clocked all rigs running atm and they seem to be still producing a buttload of work...I'll let you know in a few days my thoughts. :)
Just thinking out loud here...
If concentrating on gpu's mainly, what is the point of overclocking the cpu and banging on it constantly?
I think the other orientation was slightly better, but the temps under load are still great.

Wish I could figure out how to take decent dark room pic's of the rig running...this thing looks awesome with the red glow. Zotac's are going in for rma Monday...if I don't get satisfaction from...
I have the good or bad fortune of owning two of them lol! :p
Yeah, that is a feature of the Quattro's... http://www.anandtech.com/show/3807/antec-truepower-quattro-1200w
Not entirely happy with the solution...I had to change the cpu cooler orientation. After benchmarks I go back into bios and see the NB temps have climbed to the mid fifties...probably a little...
More good news - NB temps are now under control. I'll post pic's of what I changed once I get it back on the table. It's in the floor atm crunching away at 4GHz with the other Zotac card. I'll try...
